Afro Swiss Families is back at Afro Pfingsten with one more magical gathering! We’re delighted to host an interactive book reading of Regina Feldmann’s enchanting children’s book, Kami & Mika – Die phantastische Reise nach Wolkenhain.

Follow twins Kami and Mika as they are swept into the whimsical cloud world of Wolkenhain, guided by Konrad—a bright pink chameleon and joyful guardian—where everyone is free to be their true selves.

Following the book reading, children will bring Konrad’s magic to life through a fun and creative weaving activity. Using cardboard looms as their base, they’ll craft their own “magic carpet tongue” with colourful wool threads and vibrant ribbons. This hands-on activity not only sparks imagination but also helps develop fine motor skills as children work with textures, patterns, and color.

At the end of the session, each child will take home their handmade creation—a magical keepsake that captures the spirit of Wolkenhain while celebrating their creativity and growing skills.
