Join us for “Loving Me – Having the Race/Racism Talk With Your Kids,” a supportive workshop designed for parents and caregivers raising Afro-European and multi-ethnic children. Together, we’ll explore how to approach conversations about race, identity, and lived experience with honesty, confidence, and care.
These conversations often begin earlier than we expect. Children notice difference, fairness, and belonging long before we can fully prepare them. This workshop creates space to explore why talking about race matters, how to respond when questions arise, and how we can help our children understand their identities in empowering and age-appropriate ways.
In this session, we will:
• Explore practical tools for talking about race and racism with children
• Share approaches for responding to challenging moments and comments
• Discuss identity, belonging, and nurturing self-esteem
• Create a supportive space for parents and caregivers to reflect and connect
Whether you're new to these conversations or looking to deepen your approach, this workshop offers guidance, community, and shared learning for families committed to raising confident, grounded, and empowered children.
Registration opens in January 2026. If you have any questions, please contact us at hello@afroswissfamilies.com.
