Join us for “Loving Me – Raising Racially Resilient & Confident Afro-Descent Boys,” a supportive workshop designed for parents and caregivers raising boys of African descent in Switzerland. Together, we will explore how to nurture confidence, emotional wellbeing, and racial resilience in a world that may not always reflect or affirm their identities.
Raising Afro-descent boys comes with unique joys and responsibilities. From early childhood through adolescence, they navigate expectations, stereotypes, and experiences that can shape how they see themselves. This workshop creates space to reflect on these realities while focusing on tools that strengthen pride, belonging, and self-worth.
In this session, we will:
• Discuss the lived experiences of Afro-descent boys and how they develop racial identity
• Explore strategies for building racial resilience, confidence, and emotional expression
• Share tools for supporting boys through questions, challenges, and moments of bias
• Reflect on how we can model empowerment, safety, and cultural pride at home
• Connect with other parents and caregivers navigating similar journeys
Whether you are at the beginning of this conversation or looking to deepen your approach, this workshop offers guidance, community, and shared learning. Our goal is to equip families with practical insight and supportive tools to help Afro-descent boys grow into confident, grounded, and empowered young people.
Registration opens in January 2026. If you have any questions, please contact us at hello@afroswissfamilies.com.
