As part of National Zukunftstag, we're inviting children in 5th and 6th class to join the Afro Swiss Families Youth Club for a fun and inspiring day at Microsoft Zurich, exploring the exciting world of technology, AI and coding.
Hosted by ASF parents Daniel Schaffhauser and Dee Brown, the programme offers young participants a chance to discover what life in tech can look like. We'll start with an introduction to Microsoft and the world of technology, followed by a tour of the Zurich office before getting hands-on with AI and coding.
The highlight of the morning will be Hour of AI with Minecraft, an immersive learning experience that uses the familiar world of Minecraft to introduce children to AI literacy, coding and the fundamentals of computer science. Through playful challenges, participants will explore new skills, solve problems and discover just how creative technology can be.
No previous coding experience is needed — just curiosity, imagination and a willingness to try something new! Everyone who completes the course will receive an official certificate to celebrate their achievement.
And after a morning of learning and exploring, we'll head out together for a pizza lunch!
